staying accountable

If I have not one to be accountable to, I stop working for it... So even if only I am reading this blog I am going to try to stay accountable to myself be blogging about my workout and diet on it each night.

Tonight I did my 30 minutes running and averaged a pace of about 14:40. Still a long way to go to prepare for my goal of the Princess Half Marathon. I have time though as long as I really work for it. Before my run I stretched about 10 minutes and about 5 minutes after. I know I need to increase that!

I honestly did not originally want to run today, I ate horribly today thanks to a celebration at work and my own weakness to good food; and was just going to come home and go to bed, but I decided to make myself run. Very glad I did!

Galloway training

I am trying to get ready for Disney's Princess Half Marathon next year and of course stay on my new lifestyle change! I have decided though that the way the days are laid out doesn't really work for me... So I have decided that I am going to start pushing it back one day, so instead of making my long run on Sunday (when I am waiting tables and come home so tired and have to prep for my week at school) I am going to do them on Mondays after work. This also works because the local running club, the Sea Rim Striders have an organized run on Mondays all summer~ happy dance!

So tomorrow I owe 3 miles for training, and the organized run is only 2 miles, so I will just need to push it to 3 miles I guess! Then cross training on Tuesday and 30 min on Wednesday. Lets see if this works any better.

I need to make sure I am pushing myself, I have stopped losing and now I am just maintaining what I had done, except for the 5lbs I put back on... So now the main focus is taking those 5lbs back off and adding to the number of lbs lost!

Backsliding

So I backslided... I haven't gone crazy, but I can feel myself not as motivated. I have been doing a crossfit style workout, but haven't been going to the gym or my regular classes. I haven't been running in a while. I need to get back to being motivated.
I am going to devote myself back to my original task of getting in better shape, and I am going to use this blog to keep myself motivated.
